The Colonnade Senior Living Opens for Business.
The $11 Million Expansion/Renovation of Once-Shuttered
Assisted Living and Memory Care Center is located in O’Fallon, Il and now has a 92 unit facility.
Shuttered since 2008, the Assisted Living and Memory Care Center at 700 Weber Road in O’Fallon, Il. linked a pair of existing structures built in the 1960s with a 35,500 square foot three-story addition, which forms the 76,000 square foot complex. The assisted living center houses a total of 92 units– 60 assisted living units and 32 memory care units.
According to Tim McLaughlin, Pinnacle project manager, the construction team initially demolished a portion of one existing building to accommodate the new wood-frame addition. The exterior façade of the building is clad in a combination of brick, cement siding and EIFS which is designed to blend with the architecture of the existing structures. “Diligent pre-planning and close job-site coordination has been required to seamlessly and cohesively mesh the new space with the architectural and structural features of the existing structures,” he said.
The Colonnade provides a continuum of services for the elderly, including independent living, assisted living and memory care. One-bedroom apartments at the community have a full kitchen while studio units have a kitchenette. The facility contains a full service commercial kitchen, activity space, a salon and game room.
Pinnacle also significantly enhanced outdoor amenities for residents with two new patio courtyards, a fountain, new campus-wide landscaping and re-configured parking that is more convenient for visitors and guests.
